Sr Cash Management Accountant

Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an accomplished Interim Senior Cash Management Accountant to provide treasury and accounting expertise in support of our aerospace client on a long-term, hybrid engagement in the South Bay of Los Angeles. In this role, you will oversee daily cash activities, enhance liquidity planning, and help ensure accurate financial reporting within a fast-paced corporate environment. You will partner closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to support efficient banking operations, timely reconciliations, and a successful fiscal year-end close.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day cash activity by tracking balances, evaluating funding needs, and maintaining near-term and mid-range liquidity projections.

• Assess borrowing requirements and coordinate line of credit usage, including draws and repayments, to align with operating cash needs.

• Complete reconciliations across numerous bank accounts and resolve a large volume of banking transactions with accuracy and timeliness.

• Review weekly funding and disbursement activity while collaborating with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams to confirm cash movement accuracy.

• Prepare cash-related journal entries and contribute to monthly close processes by ensuring transactions are properly recorded and supported.

• Provide documentation and analysis for audit inquiries and other reporting requests tied to treasury and cash management activities.

• Assist the broader finance team during fiscal year-end and contribute to ongoing initiatives that improve cash oversight and banking operations.

• Maintain and enhance the organization’s cash forecasting workbook and prepare reporting and insights for leadership.

Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of experience in accounting, treasury, or cash management roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and bank account reconciliations.
• Background working in a high-volume corporate setting with substantial transaction activity.
• Experience with SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA; large enterprise ERP exposure is required.
• Proficiency with banking portals, treasury platforms, and related cash management tools.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
• Industry experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or another complex operating environment is preferred.

Compensation

$45.00-$55.00 Hourly
