Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Lighthouse Point, Florida. This on-site opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident managing accounts payable activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced setting. The person in this role will collaborate closely with the accounting team, contribute across multiple financial functions through cross-training, and bring a proactive approach to learning new systems and improving workflow accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices each week while ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and timely completion.

• Perform three-way matching by verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation before payment is released.

• Reconcile several bank accounts on a recurring basis and investigate discrepancies to keep records current and accurate.

• Maintain bookkeeping records that support reliable financial reporting and organized account activity.

• Partner with the existing accounts payable team member and provide day-to-day support for shared accounting tasks.

• Use accounting software and spreadsheets to track transactions, update records, and support efficient financial operations.

• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice questions, payment issues, and account discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a closely related accounting support role.
• Hands-on experience with an accounting platform such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or a comparable system.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize, review, and manage financial data efficiently.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations across multiple accounts with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with three-way match procedures in an accounts payable environment.
• Ability to manage more than 100 invoices per week in a deadline-driven setting.
• Background in retail, wholesale, or another inventory-focused business environment is preferred.
• Comfortable learning new technology quickly and adapting to changing tools or processes.

Compensation

$28.00-$28.00 Hourly
