Sales Assistant

Compensation: $21.85 to $25.30 Hourly

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join a fast-moving sales and marketing team in California on a contract basis. This position supports day-to-day coordination across sales, marketing, and event activity while helping leadership stay organized and responsive to business needs. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, communicates professionally, and can shift smoothly between administrative tasks, lead distribution, and event support in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Support the General Manager and sales and marketing staff with scheduling, coordination, documentation, and daily administrative needs.
• Review incoming lead and proposal requests, route opportunities to the appropriate sales team members, and ensure timely follow-up within established service expectations.
• Arrange guest amenities and special event-related requests by working closely with external vendors and food and beverage partners.
• Contribute to event preparation and onsite execution by handling logistics, coordinating suppliers, and helping ensure a smooth attendee experience.
• Maintain the Eventbrite platform by creating event pages, tracking registrations, and updating details as needed.
• Draft and send internal and external communications such as event notices, media messaging, and team updates.
• Organize reports, records, and team information so materials remain accurate, accessible, and current.
• Capture photos and short videos during events to support social media and marketing content initiatives.
• Provide occasional evening or weekend support for events based on business demands.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Prior experience in administrative support, sales coordination, marketing support, event planning, hospitality, or a related area is preferred.
• Strong organizational ability with a consistent focus on accuracy and follow-through.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and effective presence.
• Ability to manage several priorities at once and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Proactive approach, strong sense of urgency, and willingness to learn new processes and tools quickly.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva, Eventbrite, and similar business systems is advantageous.

Compensation

$21.85-$25.30 Hourly
