Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing customer accounts, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting collections while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Apply cash receipts, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Perform business-to-business (B2B) collections while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Research and resolve payment issues, short payments, deductions, and unapplied cash.
• Prepare aging reports and communicate collection updates to management.
• Assist with month-end close, including AR reconciliations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate customer account information and documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment disputes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Experience with cash applications and B2B collections.
• Strong understanding of account reconciliations and aging reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience working in a high-volume AR environment.
• Knowledge of credit analysis and customer account management.
