Logistics Clerk

We are looking for a Logistics Clerk to support day-to-day shipping, order coordination, and customer communication for a manufacturing operation in California. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment. The person in this role will help keep orders, shipment updates, and documentation accurate so products move efficiently and customers stay informed.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare customer invoices and distribute them in a timely manner to support accurate billing.
• Enter purchase orders into company records with a high level of accuracy and verify order details before processing.
• Monitor inbound shipments, containers, and delivery activity while providing status updates to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain organized, current records through consistent data entry and careful review of logistics documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and cross-functional departments to help keep deliveries on schedule.
• Respond to routine customer and shipment-related questions with clear and effective communication.
• Assist in resolving order discrepancies, shipping delays, and related service issues to support smooth fulfillment.
• Provide administrative and general office support as needed to assist daily logistics operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, order processing, or a related administrative position.
• Previous exposure to a manufacturing or distribution setting is preferred.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling orders, records, and shipment information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using general business software and computer systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain productive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Customer-focused approach with solid problem-solving skills and sound judgment.

Compensation

$19.50-$21.50 Hourly
