Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Manage the month-end accounting cycle and general ledger activity for multiple aircraft leasing subsidiaries, including the preparation of entity-level financial statements using Oracle Fusion.
• Examine lease contracts, loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, and servicing arrangements to identify accounting impacts and capture key financial data accurately.
• Prepare detailed monthly reconciliations and analytical reviews for balance sheet and income statement accounts, while also supporting quarterly consolidated reporting analysis.
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for asset management and corporate entities, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and supported.
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and process oversight, while generating customer billing for receivables as needed.
• Support income tax reporting by preparing tax provisions for international entities and maintaining schedules required for filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate assigned statutory audit activities, including assembling supporting documentation and assisting with audited financial statements and related note disclosures.
• Monitor recurring reporting deadlines and special assignments to ensure timely completion, including the daily posting of cash-related journal activity.
• Investigate accounting questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide practical recommendations to support accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.• At least five years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and solid technical accounting and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, general ledger management, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams such as finance, legal, and commercial groups.
• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, along with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
• Public accounting experience is preferred.
Compensation
