Staff Accountant

Robert Half is partnering with a growing North County San Diego organization that is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced finance leaders while gaining exposure to month-end close, general ledger management, financial reporting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative accounting department that values accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Assist with financial statement preparation
• Support external audits and tax preparation activities
• Identify opportunities for accounting process improvements
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
