Office Manager
Job Summary:
Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee day-to-day office operations and support the firm’s financial and administrative functions. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage payroll, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relationships, reporting, and general office administration. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, experience tracking hourly production based on hours worked, and proficiency with Centerbase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Pay bills and ensure timely vendor payments
- Work closely with vendors and maintain strong professional relationships
- Prepare regular financial and operational reports
- Monitor and manage hourly production and productivity reporting based on hours worked
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including reconciliations and recordkeeping
- Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative duties
- Maintain organized financial and office records
- Support attorneys and staff with administrative and operational needs
- Help ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Office Manager, Legal Office Manager, or in a similar administrative/accounting role within a law firm
- Prior experience handling payroll, AP, AR, billing, and reporting
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles and office operations
- Experience managing vendor relationships and office services
- Proficiency with Centerbase is required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a small to mid-sized law firm
- Familiarity with legal billing and trust accounting processes
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred
