We're planning to launch multiple Subcontract Specialist opportunities in mid-July 2026, and we're seeking expressions of interest from experienced procurement and commercial professionals who would like to be considered early.

About the Opportunity
Based in Fortitude Valley QLD or Symonston ACT with flexible hybrid working arrangements, the opportunity will see you play a key role in supporting our Future Business and Captures portfolio.
Working closely with program teams, suppliers and business leaders, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of strategic sourcing plans, leading new market approaches to establish supplier solutions that position Northrop Grumman Australia and Defence for future success.
You may be involved in:
Leading complex source-to-contract activities including developing and executing sourcing strategies and drafting and managing RFx processes, evaluation and contract negotiations
Building strong supplier relationships and driving supplier performance outcomes
Supporting Australian Industry Capability (AIC) outcomes
Ensuring compliance with Defence and company requirements
Contributing to continuous improvement across supply chain functions
About You
We're interested in hearing from professionals who bring:
Experience in subcontracting, procurement, commercial or contract roles within Defence or a similarly complex environment
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience drafting, negotiating and managing subcontracts or contracts
The ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
An AGSVA security clearance (or the ability to obtain and maintain one)
Knowledge of Defence contracting frameworks including ASDEFCON (desirable)
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law, Commerce or a related discipline (desirable)
