Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Principal / Sr Principal Configuration Data Management analyst to join our team in Palmdale, Ca. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

• Serve as the technical authority for CDM, ensuring consistency, integrity, and traceability of configuration items and associated data across the program lifecycle.

• Define, own, and enforce enterprise CDM strategy, policies, processes, and standards that meet contract, regulatory, and security requirements.

• Establish and enforce configuration identification, versioning, baselining, throughout the program lifecycle to preserve baseline integrity.

• Implement automated data collection and verification processes to ensure configuration data accuracy and synchronization across tools.

• Lead configuration audits and compliance assessments, prepare evidence for customer/regulatory reviews, and adjudicate findings.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring for CM/CDM teams, training, and drive continuous improvement and data remediation efforts.

• The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.

• Excellent communication skills at all levels are necessary for success in this role.

Basic Qualifications

Principal Configuration Analyst: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years of related experience, a PhD with 1 year of related experience,  an Associate's degree with 7 years of related work experience, OR 9 years of professional related work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

Sr. Principal Configuration Analyst: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience, a Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience, a PhD with 4 year of related experience, an Associate's degree with 10 years of related work experience,  OR 12 years of professional related work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

• Experience in Configuration/Data Management and systems engineering, including configuration identification, baselining, change control, audits, and CM governance across complex programs.

• Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

• Experience leading activities and presenting CDM status/risks to senior leadership

• Experience in stakeholder management.

• Experience in planning and coordinating the preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.

• Experience in reviewing contract documents to determine documentation delivery required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.

• Experience with analyzing proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system baseline.

• Experience in coordinating modification records to maintain baseline control.

• Experience in reviewing and analyzing released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

• Active DoD Top Secret SCI clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

• Agile project management (manage & prioritize workflow)

• Familiarity with AGILE/SCRUM Master

• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment software development

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
