Lending Specialist III

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lending Specialist with a strong background in commercial lending for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Westbury, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience supporting commercial loan processes, including documentation, underwriting support, loan servicing, and client communication. This role is well suited for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced financial services environment and can manage multiple loan files with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and support commercial loan applications from intake through closing
• Review loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
• Coordinate with relationship managers, underwriters, attorneys, and clients throughout the loan process
• Prepare, track, and maintain commercial loan files and supporting documentation
• Assist with loan booking, funding, renewals, modifications, and servicing activities
• Monitor timelines and follow up on outstanding conditions prior to closing
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, banking regulations, and lending procedures
• Respond to borrower and internal team inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain accurate records within loan processing and document management systems

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial lending, commercial loan processing, or a related banking role
• Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation, terminology, and workflows
• Experience supporting loan origination, underwriting, closing, and servicing functions
• Knowledge of banking compliance and regulatory standards related to commercial loans
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan processing systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a bank, credit union, or commercial finance environment
• Familiarity with commercial real estate, C& I, or small business loans
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred
