Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Design and refine network architecture for a multi-tenant enterprise environment, aligning solutions with performance, security, and scalability goals.
• Lead network initiatives from early planning through implementation readiness, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure designs are practical and supportable.
• Create standardized, reusable network frameworks that improve consistency, simplify expansion, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Administer and optimize datacenter and backbone connectivity across multi-vendor and multi-protocol environments.
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot core network components including Cisco routers, Cisco ASA platforms, Palo Alto firewalls, Brocade switches, and Juniper infrastructure.
• Manage routing and traffic flow using Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and related networking technologies to maintain stable and efficient connectivity.
• Strengthen network security by supporting firewall policy management, secure access controls, and PKI-related capabilities where applicable.
• Use scripting or programming tools such as Python, Bash, or C++ to automate network tasks, improve monitoring, and streamline operational workflows.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in network engineering within enterprise or large-scale IT environments.• Hands-on expertise with Cisco routers, Cisco IOS, and broader Cisco networking technologies.
• Strong working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ASA, and network security best practices.
• Experience managing BGP and supporting complex routing in datacenter or backbone networks.
• Familiarity with multi-vendor environments that may include Brocade switches and Juniper platforms.
• Ability to develop automation or support scripts using Python, Bash, or C++.
• Understanding of PKI concepts and their use in secure network environments.
• Proven ability to translate architectural goals into reliable, supportable network solutions.
