Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Record daily financial activity in NetSuite and ensure transactions are entered accurately and completely.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to routine accounting operations, payroll activity, and other general ledger needs.
• Manage invoice processing, cash receipts, expense reporting, and maintenance of customer and vendor records.
• Contribute to accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, including disbursements, collections follow-up, and deduction review.
• Complete monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities in partnership with the Controller while resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Reconcile inventory data across internal systems, warehouse partners, and co-manufacturing locations, and investigate variances as needed.
• Support audit readiness, compliance reporting, documentation standards, and improvements to accounting systems and processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a product-based, manufacturing, or consumer goods environment.
• Hands-on background in month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and day-to-day transaction processing.
• Working knowledge of inventory accounting, including reconciliations, adjustments, and cost-related analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms, with NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with detailed financial data accurately.
