Attorney/Lawyer
Robert Half is partnering with a well-established, highly respected Chicago-based law firm seeking a Corporate Associate to join its growing business transactions practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who wants to work on sophisticated middle-market transactions while maintaining a strong work-life balance in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters
- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and business restructurings
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents and corporate agreements
- Counsel clients on debt and equity offerings
- Advise on entity formation, governance, and organizational structuring
- Work directly with business owners, executives, investors, and private equity clients
- Participate in all phases of complex corporate transactions from inception through closing
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active Illinois law license (or ability to become admitted promptly)
- 3–6+ years of corporate transactional experience
- Experience handling mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, financing transactions, and general corporate matters
- Large law firm experience or equivalent sophisticated transactional training preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills
- Ability to manage significant responsibility and direct client interaction
