Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Apply cash, check, credit card, and electronic payments to the appropriate invoices and transaction records for several operating locations and intercompany accounts.
• Review payment details and supporting documentation to confirm accurate posting and proper allocation within accounting records.
• Assist with daily balancing activities and support period-end reconciliation to maintain accurate accounts receivable data.
• Investigate discrepancies between payments, invoices, and tickets, and take appropriate action to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain complete and organized records of receivable activity, ensuring documentation is accurate and easy to track.
• Enter and update financial information in internal systems with a high level of precision and consistency.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers as needed to clarify payment status, account questions, or missing details.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a closely related accounting support role.• Working knowledge of payment application, account reconciliation, and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong data entry skills with consistent accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reviewing, and organizing financial information.
• Ability to provide attentive customer service when handling account-related questions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain thorough financial documentation.
• Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Compensation
