Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Contact business customers to follow up on outstanding balances and support timely payment collection.
• Respond to inbound calls professionally, addressing payment questions and routing issues as needed.
• Enter invoice information accurately into the appropriate system and verify billing details for completeness.
• Apply incoming payments and assist with cash posting to ensure account records remain current.
• Maintain orderly financial files and supporting documentation for easy access and audit readiness.
• Partner with internal team members to resolve billing discrepancies and improve receivables processes.
• Monitor aging accounts and escalate overdue items when additional follow-up is required.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a related accounting support role.• Working knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, cash application, and payment collection activities.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal teams by phone and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records accurately and stay organized.
• Dependable, self-directed, and able to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and additional relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
