Sr. Accountant

Amanda Warren with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support financial operations for a portfolio of a fantastic company in Redding, California. This role is responsible for managing month-end activities, preparing accurate financial reports, and helping maintain efficient accounting processes across multiple entities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to guide day-to-day accounting work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities for multiple entities, ensuring timely completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Review balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies through thorough analysis and accurate supporting documentation.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger activity with a high degree of accuracy across several operating locations.

• Partner with the accounting team to coordinate priorities, improve workflow, and support consistent monthly output.

• Respond to accounting and reporting questions by providing practical guidance and informed decision-making.

• Perform account and bank reconciliations and follow through on outstanding items to maintain clean financial records.

• Assist with onboarding newly added locations and support accounting tasks related to transitioning communities when needed.

• Contribute to process organization and reporting accuracy by monitoring deadlines and maintaining effective accounting procedures.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience in a detail-focused finance or accounting environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.

• Strong background in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to manage accounting responsibilities across multiple entities while meeting deadlines.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently.

• Sound understanding of core accounting principles and standard financial reporting practices.

Compensation

$115,000.00-$120,000.00 Yearly
