Data Entry Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support accurate and efficient information processing for a Contract position based in Alexandria, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone who works carefully with high volumes of data, maintains strong accuracy, and is comfortable using computer-based systems throughout the workday. The successful candidate will help keep records organized, complete routine data updates, and contribute to smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities:
• Enter numeric and text-based information into computer systems with speed and precision
• Review source documents and electronic files to ensure records are complete and correctly formatted
• Update, organize, and maintain data files so information remains current and easy to retrieve
• Verify entered information by comparing records against original materials and correcting discrepancies
• Support administrative workflows by processing routine data-related tasks in a timely manner
• Maintain confidentiality when handling business records and sensitive information
• Identify data issues and report recurring inaccuracies or missing details to the appropriate team members

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in data entry or other work requiring strong keyboard accuracy
• Ability to enter both numeric and text information with a high level of precision
• Comfortable using computers and standard office software for daily data processing tasks
• Strong typing skills with consistent attention to detail
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and productivity
• Good organizational skills and the ability to follow established procedures
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting data discrepancies

Compensation

$20.90-$24.20 Hourly
