Temp PT (2+yrs) Litigation Research Analyst *FULLY REMOTE*

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal or Juris Doctor (JD) to support a specialized legal research and case evaluation project. This part-time, fully remote opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with strong analytical skills and experience reviewing litigation matters, business law issues, commercial disputes, and legal contracts.

The selected professional will review federal court complaints and docket filings across multiple industries and assess the viability and relevance of potential business claims affecting a broad range of commercial clients.

Location: Fully Remote

Duration: 2–3 Month Contract

Schedule: Part-Time (Approximately 10 Hours per Week)

Hours: Flexible Monday–Thursday

Technology: Equipment Provided by Client

Pay Rate: $40-$45 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze federal court complaints, pleadings, and docket filings.
• Evaluate cases based on:
• Whether the alleged harm is repeatable across multiple businesses.
• Whether the plaintiff's industry aligns with the client's target industries.
• Whether the defendant organization is sufficiently established to pursue.
• Prepare concise, well-reasoned summaries (2–3 sentences) explaining case relevance and findings.
• Identify specific business types that may be impacted by similar legal issues.
• Track and flag cases relevant to organizations within:
• Healthcare
• Automotive
• Retail
• Food Service
• Other B2B industries
• Complete and submit weekly case scoring and evaluation reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation and research records.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Paralegal certification strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing litigation matters, complaints, pleadings, or court filings.
• Background in business law, commercial litigation, or corporate legal matters preferred.
• Contract review and legal contract analysis experience highly desirable.
• Strong legal research, issue spotting, and analytical writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
