Financial Analyst

About the Opportunity

A growing technology company is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team. This position offers an opportunity to partner with cross-functional business leaders while supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This role will initially focus on supporting key finance transformation initiatives, including system migrations and improving financial reporting processes through automation and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Support revenue forecasting, recurring revenue metrics, bookings analysis, cash flow projections, and long-range financial planning.
• Maintain and enhance financial models, reporting tools, and large datasets to improve forecasting accuracy and business insights.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including reconciliations, reporting, and documentation.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, Accounting, and other business teams to understand sales activity, pipeline performance, and key business drivers.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for leadership meetings and business reviews.
• Support finance system transformation projects, including data validation, testing, and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and analysis using modern AI and productivity tools.
• Document financial processes and communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A), Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, or Public Accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets and financial models.
• Experience analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and presenting actionable insights.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.
• Self-motivated, naturally curious, and eager to improve processes and learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
• Exposure to revenue analytics, recurring revenue metrics (ARR), bookings, billings, or software/SaaS business models.
• Experience supporting finance system implementations or ERP/CRM migrations.
• Familiarity with automation tools or AI-enabled productivity solutions.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles is a plus.
