Benefits & Compensation Manager
Robert Half is looking for an experienced Benefits & Compensation Manager to lead compensation and benefits administration for client located in the Philadelphia area. This Benefits & Compensation Manager role partners with HR, payroll, employee services, and business leaders to deliver competitive programs, maintain regulatory compliance, and support consistent people practices across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, vendor management experience, and the ability to translate complex compensation and benefits data into practical recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring reliable delivery of services and alignment with broader HR operations.
- Support annual compensation activities by coordinating market salary benchmarking, merit planning, and incentive review processes.
- Oversee retirement, pension, and deferred compensation programs in North America, including day-to-day administration and program governance.
- Review benefit and retirement offerings and recommend enhancements based on business objectives, workforce needs, and local market practices.
- Prepare budgets and perform financial analysis for compensation and benefit plans to support forecasting and cost management decisions.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations by coordinating audits, testing activities, and required program reviews.
- Partner across business units to implement compensation and benefits policies, promote fair treatment, and support pay equity and mobility-related processes.
Qualifications:
The ideal Benefits & Compensation Manager candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field.
Other requirements for the Benefits & Compensation Manager position include and are not limited to:
- 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation and benefits
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation and benefits
- Demonstrated strengths in leadership, fostering relationships, and effective communication.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
