Purchasing Coordinator

Compensation: $30 to $35 Hourly

We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to provide hands-on operational support for real estate purchasing activities in Portland, Oregon. This Contract position plays an important role in keeping procurement workflows organized, responsive, and accurate across active projects. The person in this role will help manage purchase transactions, supplier setup, invoice follow-through, and contract-related documentation while partnering with cross-functional teams to maintain steady project progress.

Responsibilities:
• Administer purchase requisitions and purchase orders in Coupa, ensuring records are entered, updated, and monitored accurately throughout each request cycle.
• Partner with project teams, suppliers, Accounts Payable, and Finance to address invoice issues, confirm payment readiness, and support timely processing.
• Coordinate supplier setup by gathering required documentation, following up on outstanding compliance items, and monitoring onboarding progress.
• Assist with contract administration by routing agreements, organizing supporting files, coordinating signatures, and maintaining complete documentation.
• Maintain current purchasing data and prepare status updates that show progress across requests, open orders, invoices, and vendor onboarding activities.
• Recognize delays, exceptions, or process risks early and raise urgent concerns to the Purchasing Manager to help prevent disruption to project timelines.
• Support day-to-day purchasing operations for the Americas Real Estate team with a focus on consistency, organization, and service responsiveness.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting purchasing or procurement operations in a fast-paced business environment.
• Working knowledge of purchase order processing, purchasing documentation, and invoice coordination.
• Hands-on experience using Coupa for requisitions, purchase orders, or related procurement tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with project managers, suppliers, finance teams, and accounts payable partners.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep accurate records and manage multiple active items at once.
• Clear communication skills and sound judgment when identifying issues and escalating them appropriately.
• Familiarity with supplier onboarding, contract support, or general purchasing department processes is preferred.

Compensation

$30.00-$35.00 Hourly
