Accounts Receivable/Credit Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Apply incoming customer payments from multiple channels, including electronic transactions, checks, and lockbox activity, while ensuring receipts are recorded accurately and on time.
• Process account-related transactions such as credits, deductions, chargebacks, and other adjustments in accordance with company procedures.
• Review customer balances regularly, reconcile account activity, and investigate variances to correct posting errors or outstanding discrepancies.
• Prepare and evaluate receivables aging information, follow up on overdue balances, and raise collection concerns when further action is needed.
• Build productive relationships with customers to support prompt payment and improve overall account performance.
• Oversee daily lockbox activity and confirm that all remittances are matched and posted to the appropriate customer accounts.
• Assist with month-end accounts receivable close activities, including reconciliations and reporting support.
• Partner with departments such as Sales and Customer Service to research and resolve billing, payment, and account-related issues.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of accounts receivable experience, with a strong preference for substantial full-cycle AR work in a business-to-business environment.• Hands-on expertise in cash application, commercial collections, credit support, and chargeback resolution.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms used for receivables processing; experience with Infor is highly valued, and exposure to systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is also beneficial.
• Background in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and a high level of accuracy when handling financial data.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to customer and internal interactions.
• Proven ability to organize competing priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a busy on-site environment.
• Ability to work on site in Irving, Texas on a permanent basis.
Compensation
