Billing Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to support accurate invoicing and payment follow-up for a Contract position based in Louisville, Kentucky. This role focuses on preparing billing documents, monitoring account activity, and helping maintain organized financial records. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computerized billing tools, communicating about account balances, and ensuring statements are processed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and issue invoices and customer billing statements with a high level of accuracy.
• Review account information, verify charges, and resolve billing discrepancies as they arise.
• Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with collection-related communication in a courteous manner.
• Maintain up-to-date records within the billing system and ensure documentation is properly organized.
• Process routine billing functions according to established procedures and deadlines.
• Support reporting needs by tracking billing activity, payment status, and account updates.
• Use computerized billing tools to enter data, update records, and help improve day-to-day billing efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Experience performing billing duties in an administrative or accounting support environment.
• Working knowledge of invoice preparation, billing statements, and account follow-up activities.
• Ability to handle collection-related tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computerized billing systems and general office software.
• Strong accuracy skills with the ability to manage multiple records and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting about billing matters.

Compensation

$22.00-$24.00 Hourly
