Receptionist
We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support a ONE WEEK COVERAGE front desk operations role for a banking office in New Canaan, Connecticut.
This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming environment, handling administrative tasks efficiently, and providing dependable in-person and phone support. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a customer-focused office setting, with potential for longer-term employment based on business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors and direct them promptly to the appropriate staff members or service areas.
• Answer incoming calls in a courteous manner, respond to routine inquiries, and route messages accurately.
• Maintain the front desk area so it remains organized, presentable, and ready for daily business activity.
• Provide general administrative assistance such as filing, scanning, data entry.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries while keeping records as needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or similar administrative support role.• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a courteous and detail-focused demeanor.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using standard office software, phones, and basic administrative systems.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
• Prior experience performing receptionist duties in an office environment is preferred.
Compensation
