We are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization to identify a Senior Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role with visibility across the business. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with the Controller and operational teams in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own key aspects of the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Prepare financial reports, analyze variances, and provide meaningful insights to management
- Support inventory, cost accounting, and other operational accounting activities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
- Partner with the Controller to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Support audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement efforts across the accounting function
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- U.S. Citizen
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience within a manufacturing, product-based, or inventory-driven environment preferred
- Strong Excel skills and experience with an ERP or integrated accounting system
