Administrative Assistant
We are looking for a compassionate and organized Administrative Assistant to support a government program in Largo, Florida. This Contract position will play a key role in helping residents navigate relocation during a redevelopment initiative, while providing dependable administrative and customer-facing support. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing documentation, coordinating appointments, and assisting individuals who may be facing stressful circumstances.
Responsibilities:
• Guide residents through each stage of the relocation process during individual meetings and follow-up interactions.
• Prepare and organize housing applications, supporting forms, and required documents to help keep cases moving forward.
• Communicate with landlords and property managers to identify housing options that align with resident needs.
• Enter, update, and maintain records, logs, and tracking spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel with a high level of accuracy.
• Review relocation-related forms, reimbursement submissions, and payment documents to ensure completeness and proper processing.
• Coordinate calendars, arrange meetings, draft routine correspondence, and provide day-to-day support to the relocation team.
• Handle sensitive resident information with discretion while delivering attentive and empathetic customer service.
• Respond to inbound calls and general administrative inquiries, directing questions and concerns to the appropriate contacts when needed.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in administrative support, office coordination, or a similar clerical role.• Ability to work directly with individuals in challenging or emotionally sensitive situations in a calm and respectful manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel for data entry, recordkeeping, and spreadsheet updates.
• Strong attention to detail when processing paperwork, maintaining files, and managing documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, landlords, and internal team members.
• Comfortable handling inbound calls, scheduling appointments, and supporting front-office style responsibilities.
• Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and maintain professionalism at all times.
Compensation
