Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting

A growing public company is seeking a Senior Accountant with a financial reporting focus to join its corporate finance and accounting team in Los Angeles, CA.

This Hybrid opportunity is ideal for a CPA coming out of Big 4 public accounting or for a Senior Accountant from private industry with strong experience in U.S. GAAP, month-end close, accruals, consolidations, and SEC reporting. The role offers strong visibility across the organization and the chance to contribute to core financial reporting, technical accounting, and process improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals and consolidation entries
• Support the month-end close and corporate reporting process
• Review monthly reporting packages for accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement analyses
• Assist with preparation and support of SEC filings, including 10-Qs and 10-Ks
• Research and document technical accounting matters in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Support internal and external audit activities
• Help maintain accounting policies, strengthen internal controls, and drive process improvements
• Partner cross-functionally to support reporting accuracy and business decision-making

Qualifications:

What We’re Looking For

• CPA strongly preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong background in U.S. GAAP accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting
• Exposure to SEC reporting and public company environments highly preferred
• Prior Big 4 experience strongly preferred, but will also consider strong Senior Accountants from private industry
• Technical accounting research experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
