Compensation: $57 to $66 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Systems Business Analyst to support a production environment focused on Workday leave plan configuration. This Long-term Contract position will concentrate on maintaining and improving leave-related processes, including sick, vacation, personal, and other accrual plans, while helping ensure reliable system performance and compliance. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into clear documentation, coordinate closely with technical resources, and validate solutions through thorough testing and analysis.


Responsibilities:

• Gather and refine business needs for enhancements, policy-driven updates, defect resolution, and ongoing improvements within Workday leave and accrual processes.

• Create detailed business requirements, functional design materials, and supporting specifications that guide system changes and testing activities.

• Analyze payroll and timekeeping workflows in depth to identify root causes of issues, assess downstream impacts, and recommend practical improvements.

• Work closely with technical teams and developers to clarify expected outcomes, confirm design intent, and reduce avoidable rework during delivery.

• Support configuration-related changes for leave plans such as sick time, vacation accruals, personal leave, and similar programs in a live production setting.

• Execute functional testing and coordinate validation of system updates to confirm results align with business rules and operational expectations.

• Review reports and data outputs to detect irregularities, investigate discrepancies, and support corrective actions or manual updates when needed.

• Assist with change requests driven by updated business requirements, labor-related adjustments, and new accrual setups for employee populations.

• Help ensure Workday serves as the appropriate source system for leave plan processing and related operational reporting.


Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Workday leave plan configuration, including sick, vacation, personal leave, or other accrual-based programs.
• Background in business analysis within HR, payroll, timekeeping, or related business systems environments.
• Ability to produce clear business requirements documents, functional designs, and detailed specifications for system changes.
• Hands-on experience with testing, defect investigation, and validation of system behavior in a production support setting.
• Strong understanding of payroll and timekeeping processes, with the ability to assess impacts on compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Proven skill in collaborating with technical and functional stakeholders to communicate requirements and confirm solution outcomes.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum practices and structured approaches to supporting ongoing system enhancements and issue resolution.

Compensation

$57.00-$66.00 Hourly
