Logistics Manager

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead distribution and transportation operations for a Distribution Company in Savannah, GA Metro Area. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented individual who can strengthen supply chain performance across multiple locations, improve operating efficiency, and build clear visibility through meaningful reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, commercial negotiation skills, and a hands-on approach to managing logistics processes that support business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead logistics and distribution activities across multiple sites to ensure dependable, cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.

• Oversee transportation planning, carrier coordination, and delivery scheduling to maintain service levels and operational continuity.

• Identify improvement opportunities within supply chain workflows and implement changes that lower expenses, increase efficiency, and support scalable operations.

• Develop and maintain performance reports and dashboard tools that track key logistics, transportation, and operational metrics for leadership review.

• Manage relationships with freight providers, brokers, and other service partners to secure reliable capacity and strong service performance.

• Negotiate freight rates, commercial terms, contracts, and service agreements to improve value while protecting operational requirements.

• Monitor freight spending, shipment activity, and distribution performance to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.

• Partner with cross-functional teams including operations, warehousing, and planning to align logistics execution with production and customer demand.

• Support logistics systems and warehouse management processes to improve accuracy, reporting visibility, and day-to-day execution.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution leadership roles.
• Previous management experience overseeing logistics operations, including responsibility for multi-site distribution environments.
• Background in manufacturing, transportation, or supply chain operations with a strong understanding of end-to-end logistics processes.
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement initiatives that reduce cost and enhance operational performance.
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking tools to evaluate logistics and distribution results.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with carriers or logistics service providers.
• Proficiency with logistics-related systems such as warehouse management platforms, transportation tools, or Microsoft Dynamics applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.

Compensation

$80,000.00-$90,000.00 Yearly
