Assistant Operations Manager
We are looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to help lead daily supply chain and warehouse operations in Savannah, GA Metro Area. This role supports operational performance across safety, service, cost control, and team engagement while helping the site scale for continued workforce growth. The ideal candidate brings strong logistics leadership experience, sound business judgment, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional activities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day distribution, warehouse, and logistics activities to keep operations running efficiently and in line with business targets.
• Guide workforce planning and staffing efforts, including support for large-scale hiring and onboarding of part-time team members.
• Track and improve performance across key operational measures such as workplace safety, product quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and cost management.
• Monitor operating expenses, identify loss-prevention opportunities, and drive initiatives that protect margin while improving overall efficiency.
• Maintain operational records and system data accurately in accordance with company standards and reporting requirements.
• Manage purchasing-related activities and coordinate the creation and processing of purchase documentation as needed for operational support.
• Support quote and proposal workflows by coordinating RFQ-related activities for prospective customer opportunities.
• Lead monthly financial close support for accounts payable and accounts receivable items, ensuring documentation is complete and submitted to appropriate stakeholders.
• Promote compliance with OSHA expectations, safety procedures, inspections, and preventative maintenance practices across the facility.
Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, or a closely related operational leadership environment.• Proven background in operations management with responsibility for performance, staffing, and process execution.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management practices, inventory flow, and logistics coordination.
• Experience supporting cost control, loss prevention, and profit-focused operational improvements.
• Familiarity with purchase processing, RFQ coordination, and operational documentation.
• Understanding of OSHA standards, safety guidelines, safety inspections, and workplace risk reduction methods.
• Ability to analyze operational results, manage priorities, and communicate effectively with employees and business partners.
Compensation
