Bookkeeper
About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions and support the overall financial health of the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Process payroll and maintain payroll records
- Prepare financial reports and support budgeting efforts
- Monitor cash flow and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain vendor and customer records
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger functions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar ERP/accounting systems
- Payroll processing experience
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
