Senior Project Accountant

My amazing real estate/construction client is hiring for a Senior Accountant! Come apply for this great role!

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for an assigned portfolio of projects, entities, or investments.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements to support the month-end close process.
• Analyze financial results and explain budget-to-actual and period-over-period variances.
• Prepare periodic reporting packages for management, investors, lenders, joint venture partners, and other stakeholders.
• Support cash management activities, including cash flow reporting, funding requests, and partner distributions.
• Collaborate with project management, operations, asset management, and other business teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and project oversight.
• Assist with project-related transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing activities, and capital projects.
• Coordinate audit and tax requests with external auditors and service providers.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation related to project activity, balance sheet accounts, and financial reporting requirements.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within project-based, real estate, construction, development, or investment-focused environments.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems and ERP platforms.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

$93,000.00-$105,000.00 Yearly
