Accountant - Entry Level

We are looking for an entry-level accounting team member to join a Real Estate & Property organization in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Contract position will support day-to-day accounting operations while helping the team maintain accurate financial records and organized transaction processing. The role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable handling a high volume of information, and ready to contribute to both accounts payable and general accounting activities. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices and support daily accounts payable activities with a strong focus on timeliness and accuracy.

• Enter lease details and related financial information into accounting platforms while maintaining complete and reliable records.

• Assist with transferring and organizing accounting data for use within Yardi as part of ongoing operational needs.

• Perform high-volume data entry tasks and review information carefully to minimize errors and discrepancies.

• Support account reconciliation activities, including reviewing transactions and helping resolve variances.

• Contribute to accounts receivable and accounting entry updates as needed to keep financial records current.

• Help with bank reconciliation preparation and other routine accounting support tasks.

• Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or a related finance support role.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes and basic accounting principles.
• Strong data entry accuracy with the ability to manage a high volume of transactions efficiently.
• Experience supporting reconciliations, including account or bank reconciliation tasks.
• Solid organizational skills and careful attention to detail in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheets; exposure to Yardi or similar platforms is a plus.

Compensation

$22.80-$26.40 Hourly
