Senior Business Accountability Specialist - Third Party International Governance

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist for the Third Party International Governance team in Supply Chain Management (SCM). Third Party International is focused on building out a global Third Party Program and ensuring we remain compliant with all international outsourcing laws, rules, and regulations. In addition, the team is accountable for the body of work integrating those international third party regulatory requirements across SCM and liaising with regional stakeholders. This role will lead and execute components of the external third party program and affiliate program framework in APAC. Program components include: materiality evaluations, Outsourcing Registers, engaging with Service Recipients/Functional Service Managers to ensure framework is being followed, regulatory submissions, third party governance forums, and risk/performance reporting for governing bodies.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead and execute assessments to establish materiality ratings and reportability status for third party arrangements across the APAC Wells Fargo legal entities. Review and challenge new outsourcing and third party arrangements. Liaise with Independent Risk Management and other international risk partners.
  • Maintain strong partnerships and engage with APAC functional and risk partner stakeholders, including APAC Service Recipients and Functional Service Managers, to drive Third Party International framework compliance and awareness, and resolve stakeholder queries.
  • Prepare and support of APAC regulatory reporting, including outsourcing register submissions and outsourcing regulatory notification materials. Liaise with Regulatory Relations for these activities.
  • Support the Legal Entity governance and committee reporting cycles – including, prepare materials and agendas for the APAC/International Third Party Committee and prepare reporting for broader APAC Legal Entity oversight committees.
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives, including relating to APAC or International third party framework enhancements and process optimisation.
  • Support outsourcing and third party updates to APAC mid-level and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop appropriate understanding of the Wells Fargo third party framework in order to independently support in-region stakeholder queries. Liaise with boarder team members as required.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with International and global SCM team members, including team members based in EMEA, US and India. Collaborate and consult with global colleagues and mid-level managers to contribute to global or international projects and address current or emerging third party risks.
  • Represent APAC and International third party requirements in SCM and cross-functional working groups.
  • May serve as a mentor for more junior colleagues.


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • Experience in Third Party Management in either/both external third-party management and affiliate relationship management
  • High attention to detail
  • Governance tracking and execution
  • Process design and improvement
  • Reporting & data analytics, including Outsourcing Registers and data quality monitoring
  • Experience working in highly complex, regulated financial services firms
  • Stakeholder management
