Major/Essential Functions

The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of teaching activities, including:
  • Didactic, laboratory, case/simulation-based.
  • Experiential instruction within our innovative Pharm.D. curriculum.
  • Clinical practice responsibilities (approximately 50% time) will focus on adult acute care, including both patient care and experiential teaching at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center and the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in North Texas.
This is a 12-month appointment. The faculty member will practice part-time, providing:
  • Inpatient adult medicine clinical pharmacy services.
  • Teaching and clinical responsibilities.
  • Engage in scholarship and service consistent with departmental and school goals.


Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
  • Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and PGY2 residency in adult medicine, internal medicine, or equivalent experience.
  • Eligibility for Texas pharmacist licensure.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certification, and/or teaching experience.
