Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Record and post general ledger activity by preparing accurate journal entries and verifying supporting details.
• Review cash, credit card, and ledger accounts to confirm balances are complete, accurate, and properly approved.
• Maintain fixed asset records, update depreciation schedules, and ensure asset-related entries are recorded correctly.
• Lead key portions of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assemble schedules and supporting materials for management reporting requirements and external or internal audit requests.
• Process accounting transactions within the organization’s financial systems while maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including intercompany reconciliations and loan schedule tracking.
• Monitor adherence to accounting standards, company policies, and internal control requirements across assigned responsibilities.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and process enhancement efforts in partnership with finance leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with other departments and take on additional accounting support tasks as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a role with ownership of general ledger activity and period-end close responsibilities.• Strong background in month-end close, journal entry preparation, and account reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience performing bank reconciliations and reviewing balance sheet accounts for accuracy.
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting, including depreciation tracking and supporting schedules.
• Ability to prepare clear documentation for reporting, audits, and compliance purposes.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany accounting processes.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Compensation
