Desktop Support Analyst

New Castle, PA 16101, US Temporary

We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join a manufacturing environment on a contract assignment. This onsite role is ideal for a hands-on team member who can provide dependable end-user support, troubleshoot workstation issues, and help maintain a stable desktop computing environment. The position will support daily technical operations while assisting with a Windows 11 deployment across the organization during a 5-month engagement.

Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite desktop support for employees by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based workstations, ensuring devices are set up according to operational standards.
• Support the rollout of Windows 11 by preparing machines, assisting with upgrades, and addressing post-deployment user issues.
• Manage user account and access-related requests within Active Directory, including basic permissions and account support tasks.
• Perform device imaging, configuration updates, and asset setup activities to keep end-user equipment ready for business use.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments to restore functionality and minimize disruption to daily operations.
• Coordinate with internal teams to escalate more complex technical incidents and help drive issues through resolution.
• Document support activities, recurring problems, and technical solutions to improve service consistency and future troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience providing desktop support in an onsite business environment.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware, including installation, diagnosis, and replacement of common components and peripherals.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Familiarity with Active Directory for user account administration and access support.
• Understanding of configuration management practices related to workstation setup and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically and communicate solutions clearly to end users.
• Availability to work onsite five days per week in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced contract assignment within a manufacturing setting.
