Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day accounting operations for our team in Howell, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who can manage financial records with accuracy, maintain organized reporting, and support smooth transaction processing across payables and receivables. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, reconciling accounts, and using QuickBooks to keep financial data current and reliable.

Salary:

$80,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full bookkeeping cycle, including recording financial activity and maintaining accurate general ledger entries.

• Process vendor invoices, schedule payments, and ensure accounts payable activity is completed on time.

• Prepare customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on accounts receivable as needed.

• Reconcile bank statements and internal records regularly to confirm account accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain bookkeeping records in QuickBooks and update financial information promptly and accurately.

• Assist with month-end financial close activities by organizing supporting documentation and reviewing account balances.

• Identify and correct accounting inconsistencies to help preserve reliable financial reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a detail-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and the ability to maintain organized, accurate financial records.
• Hands-on experience managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong bank reconciliation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles and standard accounting procedures.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet recurring deadlines.
