Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a growing team in Texas. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting core accounting operations across both payables and receivables while keeping financial records accurate and organized. The role offers the chance to contribute to day-to-day financial processes in a fast-moving environment and collaborate closely with internal teams to support efficient accounting operations.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the full cycle of vendor invoice processing, including review, entry, and timely payment coordination.
• Apply incoming cash receipts, prepare customer invoicing, and support collection efforts to maintain healthy account balances.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records across payable and receivable activities.
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to support NetSuite-related testing, data validation, and issue resolution during implementation activities.
• Assist with billing tasks and monitor transaction details to promote accuracy across financial processes.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external contacts to resolve payment, invoice, and account questions efficiently.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in accounting support roles with exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Working knowledge of invoice processing, billing, cash application, and account reconciliation activities.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to organize, review, and analyze financial data accurately.
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining precise financial records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced business environment.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach when working across teams.
• Previous experience with NetSuite or involvement in an ERP implementation is strongly preferred.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
