Controller
Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary Finance representative for NetSuite and related financial platforms, ensuring business needs are accurately reflected in system use and enhancement planning.
• Gather, clarify, and prioritize accounting and finance requirements, then convert them into well-defined functional needs for technical teams.
• Work cross-functionally with IT and other stakeholders to plan system updates, guide development priorities, and support the financial applications roadmap.
• Assess current finance workflows to identify process inefficiencies, system limitations, and opportunities for stronger alignment between operations and technology.
• Participate in solution design and user acceptance activities to confirm that system changes meet business expectations before release.
• Create and maintain clear documentation covering finance procedures, application configurations, and key operational knowledge.
• Support the rollout of new features and process updates by helping end users understand system changes and adopt new capabilities effectively.
• Coordinate responses for audit-related requests and help maintain compliance with organizational standards and established best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by expanding the role’s impact across additional financial systems as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite in a finance or accounting environment.• Background in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and core accounting operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams.
• Skill in translating business processes into clear system requirements and actionable project plans.
• Understanding of user acceptance testing, process documentation, and change support within financial systems.
• Ability to evaluate risks, solve process issues, and improve system effectiveness through a business-focused lens.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to represent Finance priorities effectively.
