Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support shipping documentation and transaction accuracy for a long-term contract opportunity in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will help ensure shipment activity is correctly entered, tracked, and aligned with invoicing requirements across finished goods and customized products. The position sits within a collaborative environment in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, partnering closely with sales, customer support, and finance teams to keep order fulfillment and billing processes on schedule.

Responsibilities:
• Enter and maintain shipment transactions in company systems for completed products and configured orders, ensuring records remain current and accurate.
• Capture and verify key transportation details such as carrier information, tracking references, and delivery timing to support downstream billing activities.
• Create, organize, and share shipping-related paperwork needed by accounts receivable teams to complete customer invoicing.
• Review shipment records against purchase orders and investigate inconsistencies to resolve issues quickly and prevent billing delays.
• Maintain reliable documentation for virtual consignments while supporting adherence to internal controls and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Update system status fields and shipping parameters so operational and financial reporting reflect the latest order movement.
• Partner with Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Finance to coordinate fulfillment milestones and invoicing deadlines.
• Evaluate workflow inefficiencies within the shipping-to-invoice process and recommend practical improvements that reduce errors and improve turnaround time.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of shipping, distribution, and invoicing activities within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution setting.
• Hands-on experience working in ERP or logistics platforms such as Dynamics 365 or similar business systems.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage records, documentation, and transaction accuracy consistently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments to support shared operational goals.
• Solid organizational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting logistics coordination, shipping operations, dispatching, or shipping and receiving functions.
• Familiarity with customs-related documentation or transportation compliance is beneficial.
• Exposure to process improvement methodologies or continuous improvement practices is an advantage.

Compensation

$20.00-$25.00 Hourly
