Head of Finance

Louisville, KY 40202, US Full Time
Compensation: $160 to $180 Yearly

We are looking for an accomplished finance leader to oversee accounting operations, reporting accuracy, and financial governance for our Louisville, Kentucky team. This position will guide the close cycle, strengthen forecasting and liquidity planning, and deliver clear financial insight to senior leadership. The role also works closely with operational and technical partners to monitor business performance, support capital decisions, and improve the effectiveness of finance processes.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the month-end and period-end close process to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial results.
• Review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and related accounting records to maintain strong financial controls.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports that explain results, trends, and key business drivers.
• Lead cash management activities, including short-term liquidity forecasting and ongoing analysis of working capital needs.
• Support budgeting and rolling forecast cycles by evaluating performance against plans and identifying meaningful variances.
• Ensure all tax filings, statutory reporting, and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Coordinate with external auditors and advisors while serving as the primary finance contact for regulatory and reporting matters.
• Partner with operations and engineering leaders to track project spending, oversee capital accounting, and evaluate financial performance across initiatives.
• Drive process enhancements within accounting and finance workflows, including improved use of financial systems and automation opportunities.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day direction to accounting team members while building strong collaboration across the business.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
• Strong background in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliation oversight.
• Demonstrated experience with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning analysis.
• Knowledge of tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audit coordination.
• Experience supporting project-based financial tracking and fixed asset or capitalization processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related financial systems.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Compensation

$160,000.00-$180,000.00 Yearly
