Defense Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines, filings, hearings, and other case-related dates to help ensure matters stay on track.
• Prepare, organize, and file legal documents using applicable court platforms, including Arizona e-filing tools and related case management systems.
• Coordinate depositions, meetings, and other case events by working with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and outside parties.
• Assist attorneys with case development by organizing records, tracking discovery, and helping manage information needed for active defense matters.
• Support trial and hearing preparation through document management, exhibit organization, and deadline follow-up.
• Handle day-to-day case administration with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong follow-through.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role supporting defense litigation matters.• Working knowledge of civil litigation procedures, including discovery support and trial preparation activities.
• Experience managing calendaring and docketing responsibilities in a litigation environment.
• Familiarity with Arizona court filing systems, including AZ TurboCourt, and comfort learning related legal technology platforms.
• Ability to schedule and coordinate depositions and other case-related proceedings efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines across multiple active files.
• Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and legal support staff.
Compensation
