McCarthy is seeking a Delivery Driver to support Concrete/Prefabrication operations out of our Chandler, AZ Facility. This role is responsible for transporting lumber, formwork materials, and other miscellaneous items using a 3/4-ton flatbed truck towing a 25-foot gooseneck trailer. This is a non-CDL driving position. Tthis role will support daily yard operations by organizing the concrete fabrication yard, assisting with concrete equipment inventory, tracking lumber inventory, and helping with other yard-related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, dependable, and comfortable working in both driving and hands-on yard support capacities.
- Assist leadman/foreman in the fabrication shop.
- Drive shop trucks with a 10,000 lbs trailer.
- Complete/conduct Task Hazard Analysis (THA) that adequately identifies and addresses all safety hazards associated with a task.
- Perform work independently with minimum supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Assist with lay-out of pile driving/welding operations.
- Perform cutting torch and welding activities (combo/structural3G, 4G, etc.)
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain driving equipment.
- Complete pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Prior experience with driving forklifts, scissor lifts, and side loader.
- Proven commitment to Safety.
- Work in an organized manner.
- Able to work night shifts when needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to/from the job site.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Must be self-motivated and can work well with others.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Abilityto performheavy lifting/pushing/pulling of materialweighing 50 pounds.
- Ability to squat, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
- Minimum age 18+
- Proof of Identity and Employment Authorization.
- Proficient welding and cutting operations.
- Must be comfortable working in outside climate.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Previous experience with general labor and operating equipment.
- Identify common construction materials, hand tools, and power tools (hammer, shovel, measuring tape, hammer drill, saw, demolition hammer, cutting torch, grinders, etc.)
