Job Title: Retail Sales Associate
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Starting Compensation Range: $60,000 per year + Sales Commission
This is a sales role that includes a base salary along with monthly commissions. Commission rates vary based on the type of product or commodity sold or rented, with specific percentages depending on the product category.
The Retail Sales Associate (RSA) plays a vital role in maintaining a strong retail presence at their assigned store while driving sales and customer engagement across their region. The RSA is responsible for proactively reaching out to potential customers, assisting walk-in customers, and ensuring a seamless buying experience.
Requirements for the Retail Sales Associate position include:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess ability to engage customers, build relationships, and drive sales
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to outbound calling and lead generation
- Familiarity with heavy equipment, construction products, or related industries is a plus
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to function well in a high volume and fast-paced environment
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Must be able to travel and work hours required by job and customer demand

Seeking Candidates with:
- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred, ideally in a retail or equipment-related industry
- College degree in related field, preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Required to stand; walk and talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus
