The Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral associate in systems neuroscience to begin August 1. Applicants must have a background in systems neuroscience with a PhD in neuroscience. The successful candidate will work with members of the Runyan laboratory to perform virtual reality experiments combined with two-photon calcium imaging, and analysis of these datasets. The candidate will also help train junior graduate students and undergraduates in these methods. Minimum requirements include proficiency in Matlab and Python, experience in training mice in virtual reality auditory behavioral tasks, experience in two-photon calcium imaging, and experience with analyzing calcium imaging data; these will justify the selection of the preferred candidate.
