North Sky Communications is seeking an experienced and dedicated Fiber Splicing Supervisor to oversee operations for our Splicing team. Operating out of our Sparks, NV yard, this individual will lead, mentor, and manage our AWS and Verizon splicing, as well as supplemental subcontractors based on workload demands. This position will also work on Lumen, Zayo and AT&T projects. The ideal candidate is a technical expert in fiber optics who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to handle the operational responsibilities of a critical regional maintenance contract.
This position will have you traveling around the NV region.

What you’ll do
- Assist with the development and execution of projects and plans supporting the organization.
- Supervise day to day activities/project teams and project progress.
- Establish administrative guidance on project execution and ensure compliance with predetermined project deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to project budgets and provide updates on monthly variance reports.
- Identify and course correct project issues and risks, and assist in the development of response plans to resolve
- Understand current and future business goals and ongoing issues.
- Supervise staff to ensure the organization's activities are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
- Perform mandatory job site inspections to ensure employee compliance.
What you’ll need
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Able to legally work in the United States for this company.
- Fiber Splicing/Telecom experience.
- Supervisory experience (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must live within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC.
- Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions.
Routinely: occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces, work at heights and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
