Job Overview

The Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science (MPCS) at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is seeking applications for a visiting position at the rank of assistant professor, intended to start on August 15, 2026. The Department of MPCS currently has 29 full-time faculty who teach courses in Math, IT, Physics, and Statistics.

Essential Functions

  • Teaching assigned preparatory and undergraduate courses in Math. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per term and may include evening, weekend, hybrid, and online classes. Class sizes normally range from 15 to 30 students.
  • Use of the university course management system (Canvas) and other technologies relevant to classroom pedagogy.
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
  • Professional development in the discipline of math and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning such as attending workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to effective date of appointment, must have all of the following:

  • Master's degree in Math, Math Education, or a related field with at least 18 credits of graduate level math courses.
  • One (1) academic year of teaching experience in math at the college level, which could have been as a teaching assistant, adjunct, or full-time faculty.

Salary Information: $55,000 - $57,000
