Customer Service Representative
We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to support daily customer interactions and order processing for a busy team. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong customer service and order entry experience, communicates clearly, and can manage a high volume of inquiries with professionalism. The person in this role will handle inbound and outbound communication, accurately enter and maintain customer orders, and help ensure a positive customer experience across every interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter, review, and process customer orders in the system, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
- Update existing orders, make revisions as needed, and verify order details before processing.
- Respond to incoming customer calls and messages promptly, providing accurate information and effective support.
- Place outbound calls as needed to follow up on requests, resolve open issues, or confirm order-related details.
- Assist customers with product, service, pricing, and order-related questions while maintaining a courteous and solutions-focused approach.
- Monitor order status and communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers in a timely manner.
- Update customer account records, document interactions, and maintain accurate order documentation.
- Use SAP and related systems to review order status, customer information, and service history.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, shipping, and operations, to resolve order issues and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Escalate complex customer concerns as appropriate while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, order entry, or customer support, preferably in a high-volume call center or distribution environment.
- Proven experience processing, entering, and maintaining customer orders with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage inbound customer calls, outbound follow-up, and order-related inquiries in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system for order entry, order management, and customer record maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy while processing orders and updating customer information.
Compensation
